Tarina Tarantino Star Child Odyssey Palette: EOTD

So, for today I had a little fun with my eyes. I used tarina tarantino's star odyssey palette.
I just love Tarina's eyeshadows. The pigment is there and the colors are beautiful.

First, I applied my Too Faced shadow ensurance.
Next I applied the silver shade to my inner corner. The turquoise color to my outer corner. Then the periwinkle color (right side) to my crease and upward.
Finally I took the dark color on the bottom of the palette and put it along my lower lashline.

I just love this look and will definitely be playing around with this palette some more.
I'm thinking that turquoise would be pretty with my MAC jealously wakes.

Definitely take some time to go to your local Sephora and check out Tarina tarantino's eyeshadows. They have a new sparklocity palette that is to dye for! So pretty!

*Other products I used: Foundation is Too Faced Amazing close up coverage foundation in Warm Honey. Smashbox suntan matte bronzer. Bella Bamba blush from Benefit. Laura Mercier pink mosiac as a highlighter over top of NARS liquid illuminator in copacabana. Buxom insider liner in white in my bottom inner rim. Aqua liquid liner in 00 from MUFE. And for my lashes I used L'oreal Carbon Black Volumnious mascar with Benefits They're Real mascara on top! Lip gloss, Turkish Delight from NARS.
Do you guys like this look? What other looks would you like to see me do?
**oh, and my headband is from ICING. :) I'm obsessed!

Sephora Brand Rouge Cream in Jealous 07

So last week I bought a rouge cream from Sephora Brand in the color Jealous 07.

It's such a pretty peachy pink/coral! This lipstick goes on very smoothly, it's not drying at all, and it is very pigmented. This lipstick is also very long wearing!

This lipstick goes for $12 at Sephora. I'm really impressed with Sephora brand's rouge creams! I will definitely be trying more colors from this line.

Wearing headbands across your head, yay or nay?

So I've always had an issue with headbands hurting my head and right behind my ears. I do have extra cartilidge behind my ear too which might interfere, but I've fallen in love with the trend of wearing headbands across your forehead look. Is there an actual name for it? I feel like it's very bohemian and native!

How do you guys feel about the trend? Have you tried it before?

I actually received this headband from a friend for my birthday! She got it at Francesca's. I also found a bunch of headbands that are made to wear across your forehead at Icing. Icing had an awesome deal going on with them too! I purchased 3 more!!

But yes, once again, I'm dying to hear your feed back on the trend!! Let me know what you think!

Forever 21 Purchase!

Today I went shopping and treated myself to some goodies because yesterday was my 23rd birthday!! :)
Here are some of the goodies I got at Forever21!

I got this lovely cream flowery-lace tank, with a belt. The material is thicker and seems more well-made than a lot of things at Forever21. I love this. My favorite part is the flower straps.

I also got a maxi-dress. My first one!! I was nervous that I couldn't pull off a long dress but I tried it on and fell in love. I am absolutely blown away by the beautiful pattern as well. I just love the colors in it too!

Lastly, I got a gold gem necklace to wear for my birthday party Saturday!

What do you think of my finds?

My favorites from MAC Semi-precious collection!

Hey guys!! So I went to the MAC counter recently to check out the new Semi-precious collection they have released and I fell in love with 2 items that I HAD to purchase immediately!

The lippy I got is a lustre lipstick called 'Gem of Roses.' This is a beautiful strawberry pink color. This lipstick is very moisturizing and long lasting. I love lustre lipsticks from MAC. I think this is a lovely color that almost everyone could pull off and it might be a great color if you are thinking about trying pinks out for the first time!!

Above is the swatch without a flash. It

The next product I had to have is one of the mineralize blushes from the semi-precious collection. I fell in love with the blush called 'Feeling Flush.'

This blush is so beautiful and very pigmented. Everyone can wear it just go at it with a light hand, unless you're like me and love a bright pop of blush! This color is a very cool-toned pink, with a touch of lavender in there! I'm in love, I've worn this every day since I've bought it!

Below I have swatched it for you. You can apply this very lightly or really build on it for a strong pigment!

Have you guys tried any products from the semi-precious collection!? If so, what have you tried? What are your favorites? Have you tried 'gem of roses' or 'feeling flush?'

My shampoo & conditioner. (organix)

I thought I'd share with you my shampoo & conditioner routine! You can get both of these products at your local CVS! Organix is a fantastic brand that also has a ton of other great products.

My shampoo of choice is Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo! This is sulfate & sodium free! It keeps your hair healthy, shiny, and is full of antioxidants and vitamin E. This has really helped my frizzy, damaged hair. I just love this shampoo.

For my conditioner, I jump to Organix other line. I use the Organix Keratin treatment conditioner. I love this, especially the lovely scent too! This is also sulfate and sodium free. I've noticed my hair has become a lot shinier and healthier from using this conditioner!

Definitely give these products a try! You won't regret it!

Sephora Lashes. Mink.

These are my all time favorite lashes from Sephora's lash collection. They are called Mink
They are a very dramatic criss-cross, winged lash. They only come in black.
I was worried you wouldn't be able to notice the criss-cross pattern as much but you could!!

I love the exotic dramatic flare these lashes added to my look!
To apply I used the duo glue in black!
You can purchase these lashes in store at a Sephora, or online.
They go for $8!

MAC Haul. July 5th, 2011.

Today I received my package from my online order from MAC!! I'm so excited it came and I can use these products that I've been so anxious to try!!

The first item I received was MAC's iridescent loose powder in Silver Dusk. It's a beautiful light-weighted powder with a beautiful iridescent silvery-glow. This works wonderfully as a cheek highlight which I know will be my main usage for this! You can dust this on lightly or really pile it on for heavy iridescent pigment. You can also use this as a highlight on your brow bone or to add an extra pop on the inner corner of your eye! The glitter in this product is not overbearing. Definitely worth the money! Below is a swatch of the product!

This next product I received is my all-time favorite concealer. I've tried other concealers and have survived, but I keep coming back to this. This concealer is the studio finish with a 35 SPF. My color is NW30. I just love the consistency of this concealer, the full coverage I get, and how little I need to use to get my desired coverage. Definitely one of the best concealers out there!

The last product in my package is a MAC lustreglass in the color Morning Glory. I was really looking for a cool-toned pink gloss to put over a nude lipstick! This was exactly what I wanted.

This gloss has a really beautiful lavender-ish glow to it, and the glitter in it is the perfect amount! I am so happy with this color! Swatch is above, and the below photo shows it on my lips with no color underneath!

Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick- A Go Go

Today I wore the Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick in the color of "A Go-go." It's a coraly/orangy red! I figured I'd finally give it a try since I tend to go for more of a cooler red.
I love it. It's very bright though so confidence is key wen wearing this lipstick. Very pigmented. Not too drying. Goes on smoothly.

I also love the packaging.
I'm really becoming a fan of Kat Von D's lipsticks. Check them out. They go for $18 at Sephora.

Mini Sephora haul from early June.

The first product is Alterna's Bamboo Kendi Oil. This product is amazing, I can not emphasize enough how much it has bettered my hair ALREADY! This oil will help to strengthen your hair and smooth it down. I've also noticed it's helped with split ends. Back in the fall I went really light with my hair which was terribly damaging, and this product is helping to repair my hair. This is a natural product. Hurry up and buy this product, It will run you about $24 at Sephora. Alterna also has a fantastic Beach wave spray that I think trumps Bumble & Bumbles!

The next product is a body butter from The Body Shop. Sephora now carries The Body Shop products, which is fabulous!! I bought a smaller size in beauty-to-go to see if I liked it. The coconut scent is amazing. It will instantly put you in a daze, dreaming of tropical beaches! This product will condition your skin, smooth it, and moisturize it to the max. I love this! I only paid $5 for the small size too!

Hope you enjoyed this post!
